Vodafone IoT Powers Smart Payments for CMT UK
London, UK, 29 May 2019 – Mobile Knowledge Systems, Inc., and its affiliate CMT UK were recently featured in a video produced by Vodafone Business Solutions highlighting CMT’s use of the Vodafone wireless network in more than 9,000 CMT UK equipped vehicles in London, England. The video showcases the CMT UK payment offering, offices and installation facility, while following veteran driver, Mr. Ronnie Welch around the streets of London.
The CMT UK payment solution leverages the Mobile Knowledge TaxiLinQ in-vehicle communications hub, fixed front screen driver terminal, Ingenico point-of-sale terminal and thermal printer to provide a seamless credit card payment experience for both passengers and drivers. In the back-end, the Mobile Knowledge cloud-based Arcus platform is used to on-board drivers, track vehicles, and automatically pay drivers the proceeds of their transactions on a daily basis. Drivers and passengers can connect via the Arro eHail application, widely used in both London and New York.
