Mobile Knowledge Enables Kiosk/Concierge Booking
Makes It Easier for Venues and Accounts to Request Transportation Services
Ottawa, Ontario, 19 June 2018 – Mobile Knowledge Systems, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, TaxiHail Inc. today announced the availability of Kiosk and Concierge booking facilities to their valued fleet partners. Built around the widely deployed TaxiHail App/Web booking platform, Kiosk & Concierge allow operators to automate the booking process for a larger range of venues and use cases.
Designed to meet the basic booking requirements of public facilities (i.e. Bars/Restaurants, Hotels and Clinics), the Kiosk feature allows simple service requests for a specific pick-up address where the passenger will pay for their ride in the vehicle. The more sophisticated Concierge booking interface allows enhanced information capture including future booking, variable addressing, vehicle type selection, and account payment.
Kiosk and Concierge bookings both allow entry of the passenger’s mobile phone number, to ensure that the passenger receives real-time SMS updates for their trip. These updates can include, vehicle assignment, vehicle tracking, vehicle arrival and rate your ride functionality.

An early adopter of the Concierge feature, Greater Birmingham Transportation has enabled its local transportation authority to self-provision as many as 100 trips per day.
