Mobile Knowledge today announces the launch of its Arcus cloud-based Dispatch & Back Office Platform. Arcus is designed to meet today’s “app based” transportation challenges without sacrificing features found in Mobile Knowledge’s existing Cabmate and XDS Dispatch systems. In addition to an enhanced feature set, Arcus is offered under a software-as-a-service model, minimizing capital expenditures and accelerating time-to-market. Arcus allows for-hire fleet operators both large and small to get up and running faster and more cost effectively than ever before. Long term operating expenses are also reduced by minimizing the IT overhead traditionally required to manage a complex dispatch system.
Arcus has been architected to service both conventional fleets and operators wishing to operate as Transportation Network Companies (TNCs). User interfaces are browser-based (optimized for Google Chrome) and benefit from rich graphical views, including integrated maps showing trip locations and vehicle availability at a single glance.
